Summer bonanza expected by Belfast Airport

Belfast International Airport is preparing for a 'summer passenger bonanza'. More than 1.5 million are expected to pass through the hub during June, July and August, the airport has revealled.

John Doran, managing director of the Belfast hub, said: 'We are getting ready to welcome passengers from all over the world as well as see an exodus of sun-loving travellers heading to global destinations direct from Belfast International. Despite the economic gloom, it is clear our customers are determined to have a summer break, and our airlines are reporting a surge in late bookings as canny travellers seek out good deals.'
