Flybe announced the extension of its double-daily Birmingham Airport - Isle of Man route through the 2008/09 Winter season. The regional budget airline made the decision after the success enjoyed by the route since tickets went on sale at the end of November last year.
The service began operating at the end of March and continues to exceed expectations, according to Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mike Rutter. He said: ‘We have been absolutely bowled over by how quickly this route has become a success. We had no hesitation in taking the decision to continue operating the Birmingham to Isle of Man route throughout the upcoming Winter season.’
