Twenty hot air balloons took off from the runway at Bristol Airport yesterday, to promote the city's popular annual Balloon Fiesta. The balloons took off at 05:00 - to ensure there was no disruption to flights as the airport was still closed.
Fiesta director Susan Tanner said she wanted to do something spectacular to launch the festival and ‘showcase it to a wider audience'. The Fiesta takes place at Ashton Court between August 6 - 9.
