Passengers heading to East Midlands Airport today have been warned of additional traffic near the airport. Congestion is likely within the area because of a fundraising event - Save Donington - being held at nearby Castle Donington circuit, with extra traffic today from 09:00.
A spokesperson for the airport said: ‘We at all times suggest that people arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure. However this weekend we would advise that people allow extra time for their journey.’
