A man caught tryining to carry 2 stun guns and 9 pepper sprays into the UK through Edinburgh Airport was ordered to carry out 220 hours of community service, in spite of previous convictions for similar offenses.
Mark Noble, 25, was coming back from Thailand when he was stopped for having excess baggage, Edinburgh Sheriff Court was advised yesterday. A search was carried out and the weapons were discovered.
Mr Noble admitted having the stun in his possession on June 14 last year. The court was advised that he had 3 previous convictions concerning weapons and had been ordered to perform community service in the past.
