Ryanair has celebrated its four millionth passenger at Edinburgh Airport. Since it started operating from the Capital in 2001, it has gone from a single route to 39, including 4 recently-announced routes to Hamburg Lubeck, Faro, Marrakesh and Paris from May, 'which will grow Ryanair's annual traffic at Edinburgh to over 2.5 million, sustaining 2,500 local jobs,’ a spokesman said.
Gordon Dewar, managing director of Edinburgh Airport, added: ‘This is a fantastic milestone. The partnership we have with Ryanair isn't just good for the airport, but for Edinburgh and Scotland as whole. We're looking forward to the next four million passengers and beyond.’
