Gatwick praised over public transport links

Gatwick has been praised for the quality of its public transport links in a reports by Campaign group Railfuture. They carried out research at UK airports to assess their rail, bus and coach links and also the information that is provide passengers about these transport options.

The report highlights substantial differences between airports, with Gatwick identified as one of the leading UK hubs because of its ‘excellent all-round’ public transport options. A Railfuture spokesman said: ‘Gatwick is an example of best practice, with the rail station connected to the airport. Other rail connections have to be made via a bus or coach link, which is not satisfactory.’
