Virgin promotes new Gatwick lounge

Virgin is sponsoring a GMTV competition offering viewers the chance to become a TV presenter for the day, called 'Sofa Factor', to promote its Gatwick V Room, a new dedicated airport lounge for Virgin Holidays passengers.

The sponsorship is supported by short 10-second TV ads during the program breaks and an online campaign. The ads carry the strap line 'You'll be surprised what you'll find in the new Virgin Holidays V Room at Gatwick, ' and the online campaign includes a micro site featuring a leader board for the contestants.
Viewers are to be asked to send in video auditions, with selected entrants asked to attend regional auditions, the winners of which will advance to the final 5 week Sofa Factor competition. The overall winner will present from the GMTV couch as well as from a trip to Las Vegas.
The new Gatwick V Room opens on June 1 for passengers travelling with Virgin to Florida, the Caribbean and Las Vegas.
