bmi to challenge CAA on Heathrow and Gatwick price rises
13.04.08
bmi has told the Civil Aviation Authority that it is to seek a judicial review of the authority's decision to allow large increases in landing charges at Heathrow and Gatwick, the Telegraph reports.
The newspaper says that a letter was sent by bmi last week telling the CAA that it plans a legal challenge of the process by which BAA was granted large price increases. The CAA said at the time that the rises were necessary to fund capital investment that needs to be undertaken by BAA at the two London airports.
