BA adjusts Heathrow and Gatwick winter schedule

British Airways has announced changes to its schedule at Heathrow and Gatwick this winter. It will add additional flights from Gatwick to Bermuda, Barbados, St Lucia and Port of Spain, shift 3 routes to Heathrow and scrap 5 other Gatwick short haul routes. It will also add additional frequencies on a couple of Heathrow short haul routes.
In winter 2009 (from October), BA will increase services to Bermuda from 5 to 6 per week, and to Barbados from 9 to 10 per week. Services to St Lucia and Port of Spain will be increased from 3 to 5 per week. These services are in addition to the previously announced new routes from Heathrow to Las Vegas and Gatwick to Montego Bay, Punta Cana, Maldives, Sharm El Sheikh and Innsbruck.
The number of flights from Heathrow to Barcelona, Spain will be increased from 5 to 7 a day, and flights to Prague, Czech Republic will be increased from 3 to 4 a day. Pisa, Malaga and Gibraltar flights will move from Gatwick to Heathrow. However, Gatwick flights to Alicante, Palma, Malta, Madrid, Barcelona and Krakow are to be axed.
