There was a terror alert at Glasgow Airport suffered a terror alert yesterday, after staff discovered of a suspicious package. The alarm was raised shortly after 10:00, when the item was spotted in the main terminal.
Police officers were called to the scene and removed the packet, taking it away for examination. This showed that it was harmless.
A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said that the airport was not evacuated during the incident and that a 28 year old man was helping detectives with inquiries. It is unclear whether it was a silly mistake, or something more sinister.
