Lufthansa CEO Stefan Lauer has taken over from Sir Michael Bishop as chairman of bmi, with the airline's founder stepping down following an agreement last month for the German airline to increase its stake in bmi to 80%. Jorg Hennemann, Lufthansa's manager of hub development and capacity has also been appointed as an executive member of the airline’s board.
They join bmi CEO Nigel Turner and deputy CEO Tim Bye on the board The changes mean that its board of directors now has 6 members: Stefan Lauer, Nigel Turner, Tim Bye, Jorg Hennemann, Dr. Holger Hatty and Benny Zakrisson.
