Virgin is axing its flights from Heathrow to Mauritius this spring, Flightmapping reports. The airline currently operates twice-weekly flights on the route, but this will come to an end on April 24. It has not revealed why the route has been cancelled.
Virgin launched Mauritius flights in October 2007, but has faced competition from BA and Air Mauritius, both of whom have been long established on the route. Passengers booked on Virgin flights after April 24 are being offered a full refund or alternative flights with Air Mauritius.
