Three men were in court yesterday after the discovery of 54 kgs of cocaine by UK Border Agency officers at Heathrow Airport on Sunday. The drugs, with an estimated street value of £2 million, were found in a consignment of freight.
The trio were arrested in the St Mary’s area of Southampton on Tuesday after an operation led by the Serious Organised Crime Agency. All three appeared before Southampton Magistrates yesterday charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A drug, and were remanded in custody.
