Leeds Bradford Airport is sending its commercial director, Tony Hallwood, to the Routes Europe conference in Prague this week as it bids to expand its European routes network. The conference is the largest aviation industry event in Europe, with over 650 organisations attending, including 75 airlines and 200 airports.
Mr Hallwood will meet a number of airlines to try to encourage them to launch new routes from Leeds Bradford, with a particular target of flights to Scandinavia, Germany and Switzerland. He said: 'We are confident that the results of our efforts in Prague to secure more routes will be announced this year.'
