Leeds Bradford Airport announced its latest punctuality statistics, with 93% of flights on time. The airport says that this would put it at the top of a CAA punctuality report for 10 UK airports released last week.
The airport says that 93.2% of its flights were 'on time' (defined by the CAA as no more than 15 minutes late) in January - March this year. 69.4% of flights departing or arriving were on time, 23.8% were early and 6.8% were delayed.
This compares to CAA data showing 83.5% of flights on time at Newcastle Airport, 79% at Glasgow Airport, 76% at Birmingham Airport, 74.5% at Manchester Airport, 74.5% at Manchester Airport and 70% at Edinburgh Airport.
