easyJet’s 9th plane arrived at Liverpool Airport this week. The new, £20m Airbus 320 joins an existing fleet that flies 21 routes from the hub, and will be used to operate 3 new routes - to Naples, Dubrovnik and Bordeaux.
Carly Brear, easyJet’s UK manager, said: ‘Liverpool continues to be a very successful base for us, after 11 years since we first started flying here.’ Liverpool Airport chief executive Neil Pakey said: ‘easyJet has been crucial to the success of our airport. The addition of this aircraft to its Liverpool based fleet highlights their confidence in us, especially during the current economic climate.’
