easyJet has pledged to raise £1 million for the Alzheimer's Society this year. In its latest charity of the year partnership it is aiming to raise £1 for each of the sufferers expected to be diagnosed with the disease in the next 10 years.
The budget airline raised £400,000 last year for the Anthony Nolan Trust. A spokesman said it was confident it would reach the much higher target this year, requiring a 250% increase, despite the credit crunch.
