Manchester Airport Fire Service has won the International Fire Training Centre's (IFTC) award for the best UK Aerodrome. The award is given to the airport with the best performance of its course trainees.
Chris Formby, Manchester Airport head of airfield operations said: ‘We are delighted to have received this award, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all those who attended courses during the year.’
The overall top student, Firefighter William Coyle, scored 100% on the crew commander course, which helped the team achieve the top score.
