Emergency services were called to Robin Hood Airport yesterday after a light aircraft crash landed at 10:00. The plane is understood to have been on a training flight from Leeds Bradford when the front wheel collapsed on landing.
There were two people on board the plane; neither was hurt during the landing. However, the incident blocked the airport's runway for around 1½ hours, causing a single flight from Dublin to be delayed, though not diverted.
The Air Accident Investgation Branch has been notified.
