Love was in the air on a Ryanair flight from Robin Hood Airport, when a passenger proposed to his girlfriend at 35,000 feet this weekend.
David Christie, 39, from Cleethorpes, popped the question to his school nurse girlfriend Jayne Terry over the public address system of the budget airline's flight to Barcelona. Their engagement got off to a flying start after the 38-year-old, from Burstwick, said ‘yes’, prompting applause among the 187 other passengers (which suggests it was a full flight).
